This project was a campaign for Orange Television Network (OTN), Syracuse University’s student run television network.
The issues we were presented with was that OTN has been having brand identity issues and brand confusion with other student run organizations on campus. In addition, they were also facing a lack of diversity (students from other schools within the university) in those applying to work at OTN.
Peel it Back PR devised a campaign to help OTN hit the brand identity they were seeking as well as expand their reach with a more thought out and planned social media schedule. In addition, we came up with ways for OTN to seek out a more diverse group of people to join their organization.
We also made the decision to recreate or update OTN’s logo. In the end, they chose to go with the logo our team designed.
For this research project, we were tasked by the Onondaga County Department of Emergency Management with finding out how and why vulnerable populations within Onondaga County, NY were underinformed on issues dealing with emergency preparedness.
Our team conducted surveys, focus groups and in-depth research into social media sentiment through use of Meltwater.
All of our teams findings and recommendations were compiled into this research package as well as in a presentation that was done for the director of the department.
